We first restored this magnificent timepiece 30 years ago (see Ayer Mill in completed projects). Environmental conditions and maintenance issues have taken their toll over the years and it’s time for some restoration work as well as engineering changes and additions to result in a more maintenance friendly timepiece without compromising its historical integrity.
