This timepiece has suffered not only the indignity of electrification but the cast iron bridge has been sawed off where the pendulum would have hung and the intermediate cast iron plate that supports the escape wheel shaft, verge and third wheel is missing. Most of the original mechanical components have been removed and are also missing along with the weights, pulleys and pendulum.

The Huntingdon County Landmarks, The Huntingdon Borough Council and the First Presbyterian Church want their Seth Thomas timepiece restored back to its original fully mechanical operation and on display and operating the hands on the four 8’dials from the street level entry of the church for all to enjoy and we are honored to do so.
