Fredericton City Hall The Fredericton City Hall is the oldest functioning municipal hall in the Atlantic Provinces. The timepiece was manufactured by Gillett & Bland Croydon, England in 1878. According to the historical documents its construction was "superintended" by Sir Edmund Beckett Denison who designed the double three-legged gravity escapement for the Westminster Clock, also referred to as the tower of Big Ben.
